1I waited patiently for the Lord,
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay.
And set my feet upon a rock,
And has established my steps.
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who lives but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
